This is a tutorial for a Spice Rack project that can be attached to a pantry door or a kitchen wall.

Whitney and Ashley of Shanty 2 Chic include a link to a complete set of plans on a friend’s site including dimensions, materials and tools, cut list and step by step directions.

They also provide photographs of the project as they built the spice rack.   This spice rack is place on the inside top of their pantry door.  It looks great and the location also keeps little kids from getting into the spices.

I LOVE this rustic kitchen island! I found it on Anna White’s DIY site. She found the original table and plans at House Food Baby. Unfortunately, House Food Baby  removed the plans.

Good news! Ana created detailed build plans for the kitchen island/work table. She includes a materials list, shopping list, cut list, and complete build instructions. She includes very detailed diagrams.

I’m so excited about this book!  Six Ingredients or Less, 4th Edition by Linda Hazen and Carlean Johnson is a cookbook for busy people who don’t have a lot of time, but still want to serve healthy meals to their families. The book contains over 600 recipes and a lot of cooking tips. Each recipe uses ingredients that most people have in their homes.

You’ll find that each recipe is short, simple and uses 6 ingredients or less. I enjoyed the  Kids’ section which has a lot of recipes that kids can learn to cook themselves.  There’s also a very nice slow cooker section. Finally, there’s a nutritional analysis for each recipe.

Linda Hazen and her late mother, Carlean Johnson have been writing and publishing Six Ingredients or Less cookbooks for over 30 years. They have sold over 2 million copies. This is a revised edition of Six Ingredients or Less with hundreds of new recipes. The Ebook has a kindle, PDF, and IPad version. An autographed print version of the book is also available.

This is a creative idea for a DIY magnetic spice rack by Jessi of Practically Functional.

This project uses magnetized, round spice tins that are attached to a metal backing applied to the inside of your pantry door or cabinet door.  You can get the tins at the Container Store or Bed, Bath & Beyond.
