Round Aqua Table Makeover

I found this table makeover on the on the Red Hen Home site.  I thought this was a pretty dramatic example of how paint can transform a piece of furniture.  The original table was dark and heavy-looking.  After the owner painted it with aqua paint (75% Belize by SW), it’s a bright and fun table.  I really like the white china knobs too.

Distressed Dresser with Red Knobs ~ Makeover

Kathy of Petticoat Junktion found a dresser at a junk store for $30.  She removed the hardware and distressed the wood.  Then she decided it needed more dramatic drawer pulls.  She found some that she spray painted red and they really do make a difference.  I think this would also work as a nice little desk.

I’m not always a fan of overly distressed furniture but this piece has a nice balance and I love the color combination.  You can get more details on the makeover by visiting the following link.

In this tutorial Danielle of Finding Silver Pennies explains how to paint a chevron table.  It’s a neat project that starts with a mid-century modern table.  She selected Annie Sloan chalk paint in English Yellow and Chevron Shape Tape by Frog Tape.  The technique is really interesting and the makeover looks terrific.  Visit this link to see the entire project.
