I found this DIY hanging shelf project on the Shanty2Chic site. It’s a wonderful rustic hanging shelf that works well in a bathroom.  The shelf is also portable.  All you have to do is move the hook to a new location and rehang the shelf. Best of all it just cost $10 to make!

Shanty2Chic provides a supply list and a Cut list.  She has a step by step tutorial to walk you through construction.  There are also excellent photographs.  As she mentions, when you buy the lumber you can ask them to cut it to the measurements on the Cut list.  She also includes the stain that she used.
