<p>Dehydrating is another great way to preserve your garden produce for the cooler months. Fruits, herbs and veggies can all be dehydrated.</p>
<p>In this article, Debra explains how to make a food dehydrator that uses the sun as its heat source. If you get confused at all about the build instructions, just click on the “See the colored image on this page” link for a diagram that really helps. This solar dehydrator doesn’t have racks or shelves. However you could easily ass some small wooden blocks on the interior of the dehydrator to support racks or screens.</p>

<p>I have to say this is one of the best tutorial on safe and proper canning methods that I’ve read.  Very well-done!</p>

<p>Rick of City Boy Hens shares a number of tips to make sure your canned peaches remain firm and bright in color.  He reveals which type of peaches he uses and also shares his secret ingredient.  He then provides a tutorial with photographs that explains how to best cut the peaches, make the syrup, prepare and fill the jars and how to process in the canner.  His peaches do look beautiful.  Very nice recipe!</p>
