Canning and preserving is a part of the DIY natural living movement.  I know people who buy peaches and other fruit at Farmer’s Markets and can them.  You don’t have to have a garden to do this.

Rick of City Boy Hens shares a number of tips to make sure your canned peaches remain firm and bright in color.  He reveals which type of peaches he uses and also shares his secret ingredient.  He then provides a tutorial with photographs that explains how to best cut the peaches, make the syrup, prepare and fill the jars and how to process in the canner.  His peaches do look beautiful.  Very nice recipe!
