One thing I love about this blog is that I learn so many new things.  Have you ever heard of Cornhole?  I hadn’t until I found this article by Melissa of The Happier Homemaker.  It turns out that Cornhole is a game where you toss bean bags at a raised platform with a round hole at the back.  If you get the bean bag into the hole you get 3 points.  It’s a well-developed game that can be played as singles or doubles and there are innings and set rules.  Nobody knows exactly where Cornhole started.  One story says it started all the way back in the 14th century in Germany.

So Melissa and her husband wanted to make their own Cornhole set with each of their college alma maters on the wood.  She shares a materials list and complete instructions on building the boards, and staining them.  She then painted the Clemson Paw and Michigan “M” on the boards.  Finally she painted coordinating stripes on the outer edges.  The Cornhole Boards look better than some commercial boards I found online.
